Teaching Opportunities

COME TEACH WITH US!

Do you have an interest in teaching with us? We in Westport Continuing Education are always looking for exciting, intriguing, and relevant new classes! We serve all ages from 3 to 103 – or older!

The first step is for you to complete the course proposal application form and return it to us at the email address of: conted@westport.k12.ct.us  so we may review your proposal. A personal interview with Amedeo Cannone, Principal, is the second step of the application process. We will then make decisions for new courses to offer. 

Please note that this form is in Word.  Fill out the grayed areas on the form (the tab key will forward you from box to box) and save and email as an attachment or snail mail it back to us at the address indicated on the form. 

Our classes follow the Westport Public School Calendar. As you can see from our catalog listings, classes vary in length, and begin and end at different times. The three terms we offer during the year are described below.

• Summer: June to August – application deadline mid January
  
• Fall: September to December – application deadline mid May
  
• Winter/Spring: January to May – application deadline mid September

We have no classes on school holidays or vacation days, except for children’s classes during the week long February vacation break. Also, children’s classes do not meet on shortened school days or teacher conference days.
